THE BLOOD BALL
The majestic Diamond Horseshoe on 46th St. is the scene of the crime for this year’s Blood Ball. A night of dancing, cocktails & hors d’oeuvres, burlesque and circus acts is in support of DKMS, the non-profit that connects people afflicted with blood cancer to matching bone marrow donors. The dress code is Dark Glamour and 100% of the proceeds go to saving lives, so don your dark super-hero costume & save the world.
DKMS started with one family’s search for a bone marrow donor. Today, it is an international nonprofit dedicated to the fight against blood cancers and other blood disorders.
Though DKMS has helped register 7.6 million potential donors and has facilitated 65,000 lifesaving transplants around the world, the fight continues—thousands of patients in need of a transplant are still searching for their perfect match.
By raising awareness, registering more donors, and improving therapies and research, DKMS supports these patients from day one of their diagnosis to provide them a second chance at life.
